Yes, it is the most unfortunate, especially being an Ubuntu user myself!

It is the exact same version, instead it has to be installed from the SD card :)
Ps: And I think you can even update it from the market once I start pushing new versions into Google Play, havent tried but there's nothing stopping people from doing that, since its free..
If you have any Android device you can download it for free on Google Play Store:

Trust me, if I wouldnt like to do this my daily job I would make games for free as I was doing until last year, but unfortunately making a game like this takes a lot of dedication, time and money for the developers, and for a single person that is (In my case) four months of hard work.
Anyway, I can see your point, but I also think one must set a price for their hard work :)
Whoa, this and Darkside are two games I never heard of, I can see the graphical resemblence to Gryus there, but the gameplay may be different :)
Looks pretty good, but wouldnt the X/C buttons feel better if they were lower on the screen? think NES and SEGA joypads ;)
My experiences with Adobe AIR android porting where always pretty lame; extreme low FPS, blocks my phone after some time, cant go into pause mode and if I do it the phone restarts, etc. wich phone have you tested it on? (mine is quite old by now)
This game looks incredible, you have managed to achieve several aspects of space games like SoaSE wich I really love like being able to control individual ships, weapons upgrades and the feracious battles, all in one, perfect!
Another strong point is the smoothness, wich is very appreciable in the videos, you have managed to have over hundreds of ships at once on the screen with absolutely no lag! thats a super high five! This made me drop my jaw at some points where you zoom in and out constantly, open popups and do all of this extremely quicly while everything on the screen is blowing up!
One bad point I guess is the AI, I noticed it isnt quite smart yet, you are the dev of course, but you where able to fool its target-lock very easily, this is something you should remove on the release, if players notice this (and they will!) they can have a severe advantage while playing.
So, great work Stuart, I am watching you! ;)
Look very fun, good job! :D
This should be updated with the GameMaker Studio information.
