I've had to restart 6+ times so you aren't the only unlucky one.

Yes, a lot of people have run into this. Sometimes the whole sequence just simply doesn't play out correctly. Plenty of people on the Discord have complained about it.

Just restart until it works -- you have to go to the dump site north of the rookie village, get the radioactive Stone Blood, go back to Sid, he'll tell you about the loners getting attacked, save Tolik and he'll put in a good word with Wolf and then you're good.

If you open up the map for Dark Valley, it's at the bottom of the map along the fence. It's not hard to miss but just follow the fence from the pig farm. His merchandise will then show up at the base of a tree in the back portion of the pig farm.

All items have a base price that is then affected by the vendor's own numbers for buying and selling which are stored in the various trader.ltx files. Don't know about the visual bug. Weight can be tuned in gamedata/config/tuning/difficulty.ltx at the bottom.

I see your point but weapons are a different matter considering you're only gonna have (generally) 1-3 weapons at a time, but items will just stack up in your inventory. I guess there's really no harm in activating unused items but it's a fine line to walk to prevent the nonsense that the freeplay mods introduce regarding clutter.

Is there really a need for that, though? There are enough items as is, do we need R3 to become like Anomaly where there are approximately 5 billion different items?

I think I saw this particular SCAR in the trading inventory of the guy next to the Seeker boss in the Bar.

It's the vanilla story with a lot of added sidequests. Actually, some story beats are expanded upon but it's otherwise a pretty vanilla experience story-wise.

Start with 1.12 and then extract 1.15 on top of it.

Hoping there's an option to get vanilla-style health and stamina bars.

Why not? :(

I have no idea about that mod's status nor a desire to try it. Far more interested in what you could do with the game but a pipe dream it shall remain, I guess. Even a mod for Arx would be nice because Arx Insanity looks like it's a rotting corpse at this point.

Thank you for this. Like Emmet.Otter, I had issues with this particular stash in Yantar as well. It drove me mad.

I don't know. The author of the mod wanted the player to incur responsibility for the choices made for either route during the quest, I'm sure, which makes sense. I actually tried to have it both ways, but if you accept his offer of the stash in exchange for his life, AND then you kill him, his stash is unraidable because you die from some sort of explosion when you approach it. I thought that was really clever by the author.

The M79 should have a copy somewhere, and I am not sure if the rifles in the stash have copies either (they are WW2 bolt-action rifles; if no copies, they should have them as well). This quest was heavily discussed and a point of contention in the mod's Discord server.

AFAIK there is only one M79 in the mod -- it is as a reward for letting an archaeologist live, or something. I can't quite remember.

There's a Merc in the Dark Valley that offers you some artifacts in exchange for killing a guy in the ruins in the Garbage near the Duty checkpoint. Letting him live is the better option because you get the M79 plus some nice rifles. I am hoping this is what you're referring to, anyway.

The container system does not work as intended and Seaz has told us that it will probably be removed. It's best to just use radiation-canceling artifacts to negate other artifacts' radiation, saves carrying capacity anyway.

You can actually use an archive extractor for SoC to download the vanilla game files and replace the sounds in Radiophobia 3 with those from vanilla.

This is something many of us have posted about on the Discord.

Chimeras, ideally, would be a later game enemy, certainly not one that you first encounter at the Bar entrance. There needs to be more varied spawns.

All I can tell you for now is to utilize the protection of the Hunter NPC in the Bar entrance area -- he is extremely resilient and basically just kills all the mutants that spawn. Or, just run past everything.

Suns32 while you're at it, you can also use this tool (https://www.indiedb.com/games/stalker/downloads/stalker-extractor) to extract the vanilla sounds for certain mutants that produce sounds in R3 many might consider to be... wacky? I found the Flesh, Snork, and Bloodsucker sounds to be out of place, so you can use the tool above to extract the vanilla mutant sounds and use those in lieu of R3's, if you'd prefer.
