We would love to provide mod support for the game is definitely something we are looking at. Since this game has a multiplayer component that requires a secure connection to servers, we will not be making the project open source.

Haha, can't believe I missed that! The title has been corrected.
Potentially. We have only been able to test the game with the Oculus Rift DK 1 and DK2. I won't be able to say for certain until I have access to an HTC Vive.
Those assets are property of Disney, regardless or not if the developers of the title allowed you to use them. They legally cannot give permission. It's not enough, even if you were using them on an unreleased project. SharkYbg's assertion that you are using licensed assets without permission is 100% correct.
Like I said, its something we are working on but we are incredibly busy currently due to the holidays.
Creating a development update takes a considerable amount of time to create. With what little time we have we have to decide to either make progress on the game or take the time and create an update. Its something we would like to do soon.
Its smoke based on the effects used in A New Hope.
We are still working on it and will hopefully have more to share soon.
When we have enough quality content to share with you, we will write a development update. As usual summer has been very slow for us due to real life.
Currently we don't have any plans for including the Clone Wars era but we might look into it in the future.
We did not make much progress with CryENGINE 3 because of a variety of issues which is why we made the switch. To address your other questions, we have no plans to make a Battlecry 2 or put the game on Steam Greenlight. We will provide a safe and easy way to download the game once it is released.
Sure it might take less time but whats the point of us making this game if we do not put the time and effort into it to make it to the best of our abilities?
We are making progress but many of us are busy currently which makes it difficult to get enough content together for an update.
We will update when we have enough presentable work done. A lot of what we have been doing lately is code changes and building the core game which is not possible to show in a screenshot.
Closed source but if you want to help you can apply to join the team at Swbattlecry.com
This game is completely free and at this time we don't have a date set for the alpha/beta.
We had quite a few issues with CryENGINE 3 that was limiting what we could do such as the missing documentation. Because of that we switched to Unreal Engine 4. We started fresh and so far we have more done in a few months than we had done during our entire time with CE3. It will take a bit longer to get something playable out but it will be worth it in the end.
We are planning on having an update sometime near the end of the month
Don't worry! This game is not dead but many of us have been busy with real life. We finally have things to show and will have a new update out very soon!
Sign up and help drive discussion! We have not announced the redesign in an update yet because it launched a week after our May 4th update. We will talk about it in our upcoming update.
It has not being pushed back because we never had a solid timeline for when it would come out and are still estimating that it will be out by the end of this year. We are still working on the core game play, game modes and getting Bespin into playable shape. We should have an update out soon so keep an eye on our website, social media pages and of course ModDB/IndieDB.
That map never really got past the block out phase but we may eventually add it to the game.
We are not sure when and if we are going to do anything from that time period. As of now we are putting our focus on the Rebellion Era.
We have been number one before and that was on May 4th 2013.
Yes, it will support third person view mode.
The sounds are currently place holders for the purpose of the video.
So far we have not had any issues from either EA or Disney and likely never will.
