We have contact ;) Same with the guys from C&R channel.
Yea known issue, should be resolved in V243. Thanks for reporting
Well, wait no longer: Steamcommunity.com
Seems i missed uploading it here, will do soon
Personally I would like to see Gallipoli and the Italian Alpine front most if there ever would be future theaters added.
Thanks for your vote.
I agree that uncovered helmets are nicer. The canvas cover was a common attribute for the soldiers however and it makes it stand out visually from the french chasseur and poilu squads which already sport the uncovered adrian.
This is their early war uniform indeed. The late and mid-war uniforms are also available as the squad tiers up. Not sure if those screenshots are teased yet somewhere, but they will at some point for sure. Stay tuned
The Australians are currently not on our roadmap for the western front. While we have not fleshed out the concepts for the other theaters, in my opinion they are better served with being featured in a gallipoli scenario. As a squad on the western front it is pretty hard giving them unique weapons as we already have the Canadians and British.
We have no timeframe for the free DLC, but as you can see they are already pretty far along ;)
Not sure yet, we're looking into partnering / enlarging the team to manage the conversion. I think in the next months we can shed more light on this process and keep you guys updated.
We hope to add more. Canada and Britain are up first
Dunno, he sort of looks like my dad (German / Dutch) and more senior officers like this historical photo without posed retouching:
There will be more heads included tho ^^
To quote from the news post above:
"This month we launched an exciting new update containing the long-awaited new map "Picardie". Picardie is our biggest map and will offer countless hours of gameplay fun. Picardie is the region in which many battles of the war were fought out; the infamous 1916 anglo-french offensive on the Somme, the German spring offensive in march 1918 and finally the start of the allied 100-day offensive in august of 1918. Picardie is set to reflect the battles fought in these rolling hills between Amiens and St. Quentin."
We have levels designed to mimic all of the sectors of the western front, as can be see on our interactive map of the western front. The next sector up will be Flanders (known for passchendaele/ypres)
We're working to tweak that for sure, as there are some bugs that make it super hard to be good at. However sniping shouldn't be something that is casually done by any player, it is designed to be a specialist role.
The maps are actually pretty big aside from the vauquois map, which is designed especially for the rifle deathmatch gametype. I understand that some people who played the alpha, especially people from this mod community are sceptical, but the game has changed quite a lot since April last year. Also the game is in full development still, hence early access beta.
Both "Picardie" and the upcoming map in "Flanders" are roughly 2KM in depth, with 8 trench defensive lines.
In addition the game brings to the table:
> A unique setting never done before in a full commercial FPS (I did participate myself in battlefield 1918)
> Unique frontline gameplay based on trench warfare, take lines, hold of a counter attack and proceed.
> Unique squadtypes that can be choosen with 4 fixed roles within, which change the composition of each match (3 chasseurs VS 1 landser + 2 stosstruppen gives a different game from 2 poilus + 1 Canadian VS 3 landsers)
> Squads can be leveled, using a never done before co-op xp system
> Weapons and rifles which have never been used in other games.
> An interactive 3D frontline map of the western front in which all of the deployed squads are shown, allowing to quickly join friends in squads
> Levels designed to mimic all of the sectors of the western front
> Gas warfare (We will feature different types of gas as well as a unique mechanic for mask to increase immersion)
Ps. vulgar posts are not tolerated
Thanks for the support! A free weekend will certainly be an option, it is what revived Red Orchestra 2 from oblivion. However we have not yet launched, this is just and early access beta. We have a lot more in store for when the game is getting near the launch :) A free weekend is something to be done several months after the launch to revitalize the playerbase.
Oh forgot to mention; February will also add a map set in muddy Flanders (Passchendaele)
Cool, ive been keeping an eye on all the other projects. My intention was to get into contact earlier but i've been super busy with the game.
We're getting there, every iteration is another major improvement. :)
We're working hard on all of the aspects, movement of the characters is one of the major things we will be working on in the next months. The netcode is stable, the base is there, now its just all fun and adding features, maps, factions etc. :)
jep, we are working on it. Especially the terrain/levels.
The mg08/15 had belt for carrying, unlike the mg08. Ir63.org
