The male civilians were made to be killed because they’re believed to be contaminated already with alien parasites. That’s why when the commanders attack them with that green energy they’re transformed into pig beasts. I kind of believe that that’s what would happen to all the males because that’s what happens to the male cops. They’re turned into pig cops. So the men left behind must be killed if needed for health purposes or they too shall become some kind of pig variant.

As for the gorilla captain, I’m considering giving his gun a very powerful shotgun blast attack at close range to keep close quarters fights more fair. I’ve experienced these battles as well and felt that it was way too one sided in his favor. So you make a good point.

It’s just a gag weapon. I won’t be going any further than this with these kinds of weapons. Adding it was a process I don’t want to perform on another weapon like this any time soon.

From what I can tell it's related to hardware drivers, but this issue has been around for a while, and I thought it had been fixed years ago. The only pages I could find about it were from 2010 or some years after that. I guess the issue is still here for some. I'll ask around some more and see if there's work arounds.

Did turning off sound effects help?

No I’m sorry. You are playing with polymost correct? Is there anything going on when u pause the game?

I did a little investigation into this issue and it looks like the issue may be sound related. Try turning off sound effects and messing around with the sound settings in the game options but also with your actual audio drivers. See if turning off sound effects works first. Get back to me on it.

Try locking it at 60fps and see if the problems with the freeze thrower stops. Does the flamethrower mode cause problems like the freeze thrower mode?

Wow thanks a lot. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. I’m sorry to hear about the freeze thrower. Are u using polymer or polymost? I don’t get any issues like that and I use polymost which is what the mod is set up to use from the start.

You need to search in the SOB_EVENTS.con file which is in the SOB_CONS folder.

There’s a button to activate and deactivate your shrinking device. Use it to grow back to normal size. Be sure to set up the new buttons in the options menu.

It has HD textures but by today’s standards they could probably be better now.

Oh that’s great. So I guess the megaton GRP works too. That’s good to know.

Did u put your GRP file in the main folder?

I’m just using the con coding abilities provided by eduke. Takes some practice for sure. I’m not sure who this is?

All u have to do is drop your duke3d.grp file into the main mod folder. Do not put the mod files in any other folders. Do not use a different version of eduke. Use only the files that are provided. Also your grp file needs to be from a retail version of duke 3D atomic edition

Are the bullet projectiles gonna use models or are they sprite based?

These are the specs I use to make this mod. However I don’t think u have to have what I have to run it smoothly but you definitely need a stronger rig than what u need for vanilla eduke 32 and most of the mods that exist for it.

i7 8700k CPU
Gtx 1080 ti 11gig GPU
16gig RAM

Your specs are very low end. This may not run well for u. Most of the vanilla maps have a lot of added content which will make them more demanding. Sorry.

Read the readme. All the new attacks are linked to existing buttons. There are no new buttons.

I’m not sure about setting up the death drone on a cool down system like the pipebomb or spider mine. But letting it stay alive until it dies or allowing it to stay around longer is a good idea. I’m all for that.

That’s actually not a bad idea. Kind of like the pipebomb but with an even longer delay. I’ll take that into consideration for sure.

Hey thanks for the kind words. I’d love to disable the anti cheat stuff on the hardest difficulty but then I’d have to compile my own custom version of eduke and I’m not really sure I want to do that. I like using the latest eduke builds as much as possible and I’d have to recompile a new version every time an update comes out. I’ll reconsider it when I get to work on the next release of SOB. I can’t do it for this one since it’s ready for a release and something like that would require more testing. Stay tuned.
