The mod is far from dead, they upload update progress regularly here and on the discord..
In-fact, I think this mod's development has gotten more and more lively and ambitious as time goes on! It has indeed been 3 years since Ver. 2, however from what I've seen Ver. 3 will be definitely worth the wait!
