I hope everything is well with the family, and thank you.
Your company sounds familiar to me. Didn't you create a game called 'The Machine' that was distributed on the Impulse software distribution system some time ago?
I heard the development was delayed due to a family emergency. Family DOES come first sorry for the trouble.
why hasn't my forum account been activated? it's been like 4 or 5 months now and no repsonses from anyone..
Any news on what is going on? It would be nice to get some sort of update after 3 months of silence.
Could you at least give us some sort of progress report on what is happening? I can understand problems or issues but at least let everyone know what is going on whether good or bad.
Thank you.
How is the update coming along? I'm not impatient just curious. I am assuming this will be a very good update when completed.
The game when I run it says there is a new version 2.00, where do I download it?
Thank you.
Actually forget that script above just use this for 'Dysis.sh'
#!/bin/bash
java -Djava.library.path=native/linux -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -Xss2048k -jar D4.jar
exit 0
I modified the script, to work the same as the script for the game 'Towns' it works perfectly fine now even running from the Desura client..... Here it is:
#!/bin/bash
function has_command()
{
command -v "$1" >/dev/null
}
function show_message()
{
style=$1
shift
if ! zenity "$style" --text="$*" 2>/dev/null; then
case "$style" in
--error)
title=$"Error"
;;
--warning)
title=$"Warning"
;;
*)
title=$"Note"
;;
esac
# Save the prompt in a temporary file because it can have newlines in it
tmpfile="$(mktemp || echo "/tmp/steam_message.txt")"
echo -e "$*" >"$tmpfile"
xterm -T "$title" -e "cat $tmpfile; echo -n 'Press enter to continue: '; read input" 2>/dev/null || \
(echo "$title:"; cat "$tmpfile"; echo -n 'Press enter to continue: '; read input)
rm -f "$tmpfile"
fi
}
if has_command java; then
#FIX for some VM's other then METACITY
#save old value before unsetting
oldXMODIFIERS=$XMOFIFIERS
unset XMODIFIERS
java -Djava.library.path=native/linux -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -Xss2048k -jar D4.jar
#If there were XMODIFIERS, set them again
if [ ${#oldXMODIFIERS} -ge 1 ]; then
echo "Setting XMODIFIERS to old value."
export XMODIFIERS=$oldXMODIFIERS
fi
else
show_message --error "Couldn't find java, please install it from openjdk.java.net"
exit 1
fi
Seems a bit much for just launching a game but it works.
Actually the command in the terminal .... java -jar ... works totally fine it's the dysis.sh script that fails to execute.. I have the latest version of java for linux/ubuntu and it checks out fine when I test it. I'm going to try something when I relog into ubuntu later today, so I will keep you posted on what I'm going to try out.
I love the game it works perfectly under Win 64bit, just wish I could get it to work on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I have Desura for Linux installed but this like most of the other games don't work. :(
Just a little update. The game is still installed under X:\Desura\Common BUT Desura doesn't see it as such. I can still play now I just had to create a shortcut to the EXE on my desktop.
Whenever I restart Desura it says 'Not ready' and I always have to re-install the game. I have no idea what is causing this. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit OS.
Sorry here is more info 64 bit, paid deluxe version. All it does is a little box pops up briefly and that is it nothing else happens.
it hasn't worked for me since the 1.02 version came out and I tried installing the stand alone version and that didn't work. Since then I haven't bothered with it.
windowed mode doesn't work. if you turn off 'full screen' mode and pick the resolution and click apply it does nothing and is stuck at 1024x768
Any chance of a mission editor of some kind in the future?
You're an idiot. Minecraft is 8bit Tilebased engine written in Java. This is voxel based C# engine. Why don't you save everyone the trouble and do a little research before you post your non-intelligent comments.
Got it working. I downloaded the 'zip' package of the game extracted it and ran setup after it was done it ran fine. I'm not exactly sure what fixed it unless when it reinstalled XNA 4 that may have done it.
It needs single player mode or bots to fill in the gaps when no online players are available, other wise it's okay I guess WHEN you can find players.
@eobet: Wow you just don't stop being an *** do you.
2000-2100 is the 21st century my friend. So 2012 is the 12th year of the 21st century. If you remember when it was the 1900's it was the 20th century....
I'm always looking for a decent game. This seems to fit the bill with a little bit of every genre. After paying the bills this month I may manage to scrap up an extra 20 bucks for this.
