So imagine for a second you're on a flight somewhere over North America. It's late, it's dark, it's winter, and the weather is terrible. Turbulence is keeping you from getting any rest. You look out the window and see nothing but rain, clouds and lightning strikes in the distance.
With trepidation in his voice, your captain announces your plane is going to be changing course due to serious inclement weather ahead. He tells everyone to remain seated and buckled in and to stay calm as they navigate the plane to calmer skies. Moments later, you feel a rush as the plane quickly loses altitude and begins vibrating wildly. You look out the window again but visibility is almost non-existent. An eerie feeling comes over you that you are about to crash. Strange whirring sounds are coming from all around and the plane sounds as if it is going to shake itself apart.
After enduring a torturous and tumultuous ride for what seemed like ages, you hear the engines change pitch as the plane begins banking. Lightning strikes again just as you happen to be peeking out the window, and you see you are dangerously close to the ground as you feel the plane begin to level off.
Suddenly, a wing gets clipped and an explosive fireball erupts. The plane torques sideways as it is ripped in half, the seats in front of you now completely gone. That's all you can remember when you wake up--still buckled in your seat--to discover you've been...

We'll be launching a Kickstarter campaign later this year, and there will be some sweet rewards that will be limited in quantity, so be sure to keep a close watch on all those places!

Is this still active?
Hi, Now's probably the best time to make a request. Late Game. e.g. games like Rust, The Forest, Stranded Deep, don't have late game. Sure, they have guns, but it shouldn't stop there. Proper Brick houses? Basic machines? Advanced Machines?
Sorry if I'm asking too much, but this looks like an awesome game (already), and I feel like submitting my suggestions.
Thanks. Keep up the good work.
Hey, thanks for your feedback! I've seen this come up a few times, and I don't know if I quite agree with the thinking along these lines because it is very conventional. Survival games are about emergent gameplay. They are not a race to consume gated content like your standard MMO. Therefore, there is not supposed to be a "late game" or "end game."
In any case, you wouldn't see brick houses or machines in Diverted because our design philosophy is centered on what we call "fun realism." In a nutshell, this means everything in the game will have to be believable within the setting, all crafting recipes will have to be fairly realistic, and all mechanics and the simulation will be similar to the real world but tweaked slightly for fun.
A couple more follow up questions, mainly, what kind of engine is it? Is there mining? and if so, do we have softbody/deformable terrain? Also, can we have tameable(trainable) animals? That would be so badass!
i got the impression of ( another game like forest and/or stranded deep )
not hating or anything . im just stating my first impression based on whats written on the page .
i hope its much more than that. and good luck to you guys
Thanks for your feedback! It's definitely much more than that. Both of those games are single player, although The Forest recently got added co-op. Diverted will be a persistent multiplayer open world survival game. There are many other differences, including theme, content, setting, gameplay mechanics and overall design philosophies.
Anyway, when can I download?
Sign up for our newsletter and follow us on Twitter, Facebook or Google+ and you'll be one of the first to know what's happening with Diverted. We'll likely do some Twitch streams leading up to our Kickstarter, but we won't be releasing a playable build until afterward. Pre-alpha access will be a Kickstarter reward. Once we reach alpha, our game will be available via Steam Early Access.
I've been tracking for almost 2month now, and I have to say, this game took too much of my attention... But please, when are you gonna add a Download link on Moddb? Or can I download elsewhere for free?
Hey NinjaNugget, are you sure you meant to post this question on our page? We've only been on IndieDB since the second half of January so you couldn't have been following us for almost 2 months. We're also not on ModDB as this is a standalone game.
